LINE-UP UPDATE: First, out with the bad news. Unfortunately, for the second time in a row, ANTHRAX have decided to cancel their summer european tour. Planning a 5-day festival involves alot of moving parts, and we are as dissapointed as you are when things don’t go according to what was already settled. We want to deliver the very best experience for you and thus we work hard all year round to bring you the best possible lineup.
Below, a statement from ANTHRAX:
‘Due to a series of logistical and scheduling issues, we won’t be able to make it to Europe this summer for the festivals we were set to perform at. We’re really disappointed about this, and want you to know that a solid – and overdue – European tour is a priority for us. Lots of exciting things are in the pipeline, so stay tuned.’
Now, in with the good news. Luckily, the Swedish legends HYPOCRISY will take their spot at Rockstadt Extreme Fest to do what they do best, and we are more than happy to have them on the bill. We’re sure they need no introduction.
Aside from the recently announced KADAVAR, DISCHARGE, PHIL CAMPBELL AND THE BASTARD SONS – MOTORHEAD SET, THE UNDERGROUND YOUTH and LOST IN KIEV, we are more than happy to welcome ABBATH, IMMOLATION, CALIGULA’S HORSE, CAR BOMB, FOR THE WICKED, EMBRYO and RITUAL ROADMAP. As for FOR THE WICKED, this exclusive show will mark the return of the leading romanian contemporary metal powerhouse, with a new lineup, consisting of old and new faces.

We’re updating our lineup, but also our look, dreamed up by the brilliant mind of Costin Chioreanu .
The renowned Romanian illustrator and graphic designer, with his captivating dark and surreal style, has managed to visually metamorphosize the mystical lands of Transylvania into Rockstadt Extreme Fest’s new artwork.
As his design studio Twilight13Media celebrates its 20th anniversary, Chioreanu’s impact on the metal scene is evident through collaborations with iconic bands like Ghost, Emperor, and Opeth. His work, characterized by intricate details and otherworldly imagery, has been exhibited worldwide, solidifying his esteemed position in the global art and music scenes.
This is even more evident in his work for Rockstadt Extreme Fest.
Costin Chioreanu has masterfully woven elements from Romanian history, culture, and folklore into the visual story of the Rockstadt Extreme Festival, drawing inspiration from the region’s rich architectural heritage.
