ARCH ENEMY will be coming back to Romania, this time for their first ever festival headliner show and also one of the very few shows confirmed for Europe this summer, promoting their new album, Deceivers, one of their most successful albums to date. Their show and stellar line-up really need no introduction, you just have to show up in front of the stage and be blown away.
Keeping things on a high note, what better act to merge with the Carpathian magic and mysticism other than HEILUNG? Still going strong as ever, festival favourites AMORPHIS are coming back to the lands of Transylvania and if you’ve seen this finnish powerhouse before, there’s really no need for any introduction. The same goes for sweedish legends THERION, who will also perform for the first time at Rockstadt Extreme Fest.
From the other side of the world, straight up from the sunny side of California, Hardcore legends LIONHEART will walk the stage for the first time in Eastern Europe and we can’t wait for a straight-up, pure american lesson in hardcore. If you know, you know.
Closing off this round of confirmations are american black metal sensation SPECTRAL WOUND, followed by greek festival veterans ALLOCHIRIA, who will also promote their new album.
Unfortunately, due to economical and logistical reasons, WOLVES IN THE THRONE ROOM are forced to cancel their summer european tour, including their show at Rockstadt Extreme Fest. Hopefully we will be able to reschedule for 2024.
We’re down to less than 30 names who will be added to the bill, and we hope to reveal the full lineup somewhere next month. There are several surprises yet to be revealed, so keep your eyes on the updates!

Guarded by the Rasnov Fortress up the close by hill, Rockstadt Extreme Fest 2023 will take place between the 2nd and the 6th of August, 2023 just 30 minutes away from Brasov, in Rasnov City. The festival grounds will host 3 stages and no less than 70 bands on all 5 days but this is not all of it. You can enjoy tasty food or surpass your personal beer drinking record at unexpected good prices you will find nowhere else. And we’ve also got some top tourist sites around the festival area: the Rasnov Fortress, Valea Cetatii Cave, LiBEARty bear reservation or, nonetheless, the infamous Dracula’s Bran Castle.
